I paid $109 (with $10 discount) for a professional toilet deep-cleaning service, expecting a more thorough and detailed clean than what I could achieve through routine cleaning myself. Upon completion, the bathrooms looked generally clean at first glance, and I must acknowledge that the tempered glass panels were cleaned well. However, after inspecting the bathrooms more closely, I discovered several areas that were not cleaned to the standard I expected from a professional deep-cleaning service. Some of the issues I observed included: - Water and detergent spray stains remaining on supposedly cleaned surfaces, including the sides of the sink and bathroom door. - Dust still present on parts of the ventilation fan. - Thick layers of dust remaining on higher areas that had not been properly cleaned. - Thick dirt and dust around the window frame that had not been properly wiped away. - Limescale crust remaining on taps and shower heads. - Dirt left on the bathroom floor instead of being directed towards the floor trap, with the floor trap area itself still dirty. - The interior of the vanity cabinet not properly wiped. - Stains still visible inside the toilet bowl after cleaning. - Grout lines that were not adequately cleaned. I had already pointed out some areas for the helper to re-clean. Unfortunately, after the helper left, I spotted even more areas that were below standard. Another observation was that, apart from the interior of the vanity cabinet, several surfaces appeared to receive only a spray-and-wipe treatment rather than a more thorough scrub and wash where appropriate. For a service marketed as professional toilet deep cleaning, I expected greater attention to stubborn dirt, limescale, grout lines and areas requiring more intensive cleaning, rather than mainly wiping down surfaces. My biggest concern is that high-temperature steam cleaning was explicitly advertised as part of the package for tiled walls, floors and grout lines. However, I personally observed the cleaning process and saw that the helper only used the machine around the toilet bowl, swinging around it after the general cleaning was completed. No high-temperature steam cleaning was carried out on the tiled walls, floors or grout lines, despite this being stated as part of the service package. Another point worth highlighting is the duration of the service. The advertised cleaning time was 3 hours, but the helper spent only 2 hours and 20 minutes on the job, leaving 40 minutes short of the stated duration. Given the number of areas that were subsequently found to be inadequately cleaned, this raises concerns about the thoroughness of the work carried out within the time spent. There was also no proper prior walkthrough or inspection of the bathrooms, no photographs documenting pre-existing conditions, and no explanation of the cleaning process undertaken. Regarding customer service, my experience was also disappointing. After I raised my concerns about the cleaning quality, the company offered to arrange a return visit to rectify the issues. However, the subsequent communication left me questioning how seriously my feedback was being addressed. Two different customer service representatives were involved. Both informed me that a call had been made at a specific time from a specific number, although I had not received the calls. Subsequently, I was told that no call had been made because they were respecting my preference (of not accepting call). These conflicting explanations left me confused about what had actually happened. Instead, the interaction felt repetitive, like a scripted reply, with the same rectification offer being reiterated rather than my concerns being meaningfully addressed. I acknowledge that the company did offer to send someone back to rectify the cleaning issues. However, by then, I had already cleaned the affected areas myself, so another cleaning visit was no longer practical. What disappointed me was not simply the proposed solution, but the overall handling of the complaint. I was hoping for clearer communication, a better understanding of the issues raised, and a resolution that took into account the actual circumstances. The experience left me feeling that the process was more focused on repeating the rectification offer than demonstrating a genuine understanding of my dissatisfaction. For me, good customer service is not just about offering a standard solution, but about listening carefully, communicating consistently and making customers feel that their concerns are being taken seriously. Ultimately, my personal experience felt much closer to routine cleaning than the professional deep cleaning I had paid for. When you clean your own home, you know your own standards and the details that matter to you. I engaged a professional service to save time and receive a more thorough clean, not to spend additional time inspecting and re-cleaning areas afterwards. For $109, I expected better attention to detail, more thorough cleaning of areas requiring it, and delivery of the advertised cleaning procedures within the stated service duration. To be fair, the tempered glass panels were cleaned well, the bathrooms looked generally clean from a distance, and the company did offer a return visit. However, these positives did not outweigh my concerns about the cleaning quality, the advertised steam-cleaning procedure and the subsequent handling of my complaint. Overall, the experience was disappointing and fell short of my expectations. I hope the company takes this feedback constructively and improves its cleaning quality control, consistency in delivering advertised services, and approach to handling customer complaints.
