Serious Complaint – Extremely Poor Service, Wrong Team & Complete Waste of Time I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided today and would like to raise a serious complaint regarding the quality of service, the team assigned, the equipment used, and the way this booking was handled. The service was assigned to Manikanta in the Urban Company app. However, the people who actually entered our society and performed the service were completely different from what was shown in the app. The entry was made for 3 members, including a lady, but the actual team that came was different. This itself raises a serious concern about how the service assignment and verification are being handled. We had taken the same service in January, and at that time the service was excellent. We were very satisfied with it, which is exactly why we booked the same service again this time. Unfortunately, the experience today was completely different and extremely disappointing. There was also a significant difference in the equipment and cleaning process compared to our previous service. Last time, after the floor was cleaned using the machine that brushes the floor, they used a vacuum/water-suction machine that sucked up all the water from the floor, leaving the floor properly cleaned and without excess water. This time, when we asked about the same equipment, we were simply told that the machine was not working. If the required equipment was not working, we should have been informed before or at the beginning of the service, rather than expecting us to accept an incomplete cleaning process after paying for the same professional service. Instead, after using the floor-brushing machine, they cleaned the floor again with a normal pocha and wiper. This is not what we experienced when we took the same service in January and is certainly not what we expect from a professional deep-cleaning service. The cleaning itself was hardly better than what our regular maid does with normal daily dusting and pocha. We had to continuously guide the team on how the cleaning should be done. There was no proper dusting of the ceilings at all, and we had to repeatedly point out areas that needed attention. We contacted Manikanta, as he was the person assigned to the booking. He did not come to the location at all. When we spoke to him, he said he was not feeling well and claimed that he had checked the work through a video call. We had to actually show him over the video call how the bathrooms and floors had been cleaned. Only after seeing it did he ask the team to do the cleaning again. The team arrived at around 1:00 PM and completed the service only around 8:15 PM. They spent more than 7 hours at our home, yet the quality was still nowhere close to what we expected from a professional service. We had to spend our entire day monitoring and explaining the work instead of being able to rely on the professionals we had paid for. We have a small child at home, and managing the child along with a team working for more than 7 hours is already extremely difficult. After all this, are we now expected to start the cleaning all over again ourselves with a pocha because the team could not provide the service properly? If we wanted basic dusting and pocha, we would not have paid for a professional deep-cleaning service. This was not a minor issue or a case of slightly lower quality. The entire purpose of booking the service was defeated. We paid Urban Company expecting professional-quality cleaning, based on our very good experience in January, but instead we had to supervise, explain, and still ended up with an unsatisfactory result. I request Urban Company to: 1. Investigate why a different team was sent than the members shown/assigned in the app. 2. Verify the actual people who performed the service and how their entry was registered. 3. Review the quality of work and the equipment provided for this service. 4. Explain why the water-suction equipment was not functional and why the service was continued without providing an appropriate alternative. 5. Provide an appropriate refund/compensation for the service that was not delivered as promised. 6. Please do not simply arrange another visit by the same team as a solution. After spending more than 7 hours today, we do not have the time or confidence to go through the same experience again. We chose Urban Company again because of our excellent experience in January. This time, however, the service was completely unacceptable and has seriously affected our trust in the platform. I expect this complaint to be properly investigated and resolved with an appropriate refund/compensation, rather than receiving a generic apology or having the complaint closed without a satisfactory resolution.
