I am extremely disappointed with my recent 1 BHK Deep Cleaning service from Urban Company. Unfortunately, this experience was a complete waste of money and did not meet the professional standards I expected. To begin with, the team arrived almost one hour late without any prior intimation or apology, which was an unprofessional start to the service. The team assigned under Durga Prasad consisted of three members (two males and one female). Durga Prasad left after assigning the team, and the remaining staff did not seem to have the skills or professionalism required for a deep cleaning service. Only one of the male staff members appeared to make some effort, while the other male and the female staff member were not thorough. The cleaning was superficial rather than deep cleaning. Many areas were either missed completely or cleaned very poorly. All the doors (main door, balcony door, bathroom door, and room doors), windows, kitchen window, switchboards, electrical sockets, kitchen cabinets, balcony railing, clothes hanger rods, and clothesline rope were still dusty. Even after the service, touching these surfaces left dust on my hands. The kitchen granite countertop remained greasy and sticky, as if it had only been wiped with water instead of being properly scrubbed. The bathroom floor and surfaces were also not deep cleaned. It looked like they simply used water and wiped the area instead of scrubbing it with proper cleaning solutions. Cobwebs were still visible in multiple corners inside the flat and in the balcony. The balcony floor and the main flooring throughout the flat still had stains and marks even after the team claimed the work was completed. The most disappointing part was that I had to personally supervise the entire cleaning process. Instead of receiving a professional service, I felt like I was the supervisor. I had to inspect every room, identify missed areas, and repeatedly ask the team to clean them properly. I spent nearly an extra hour standing with them and guiding them step by step. As a customer, I should not have to monitor or train the cleaning staff. I booked a professional deep cleaning service expecting experienced professionals who could complete the work independently and thoroughly. Even before I had inspected the cleaning, the team started asking for payment. They never asked me to check whether I was satisfied with the work. After I pointed out the missed areas, I had to call them back repeatedly to redo the cleaning, but even then, many areas were still not cleaned properly. To make matters worse, the team even asked me for a tip despite the poor quality of service. When I honestly shared my feedback, they did not accept it professionally. After I completed the payment, I noticed the three staff members standing near the lift discussing my feedback among themselves in an inappropriate manner, which made me feel uncomfortable. This was my second booking with Urban Company. My first deep cleaning service in 2025 was excellent, and the team did a truly professional job. That positive experience is the reason I booked Urban Company again in 2026. Unfortunately, this second team was completely different, and the quality was nowhere close to the standards I experienced before. Overall, this did not feel like a professional deep cleaning service. It felt like a basic wipe-down with a spray and cloth, without proper scrubbing, attention to detail, or quality checks. For the amount I paid, I expected far better service. This experience was a complete waste of money. I am genuinely disappointed and not at all satisfied with the service. This experience has made me seriously reconsider booking Urban Company again in the future. I hope Urban Company improves its quality control and ensures that only properly trained and professional staff are assigned for deep cleaning services.
