The plumber removed the hair and dirt that was stuck in the wash basin bottle trap, thereby fixing the immediate problem of leakage. I used my UC warranty facility to ask the plumber to visit again, and advised him to put Teflon tape to wrap threaded pipe connections so it creates a watertight or airtight seal. He visited and did the same. So thanks to the plumber and to Urban Company for providing fantastic service.
