Dear Urban Company Escalation Team, I am writing to formally complain about the unacceptable experience I had with my recent home service booking. The actions of your customer support executive, Mr. Ayush, and your service partner caused unnecessary confusion, harassment, mental distress, and forced me to make a payment that I strongly disputed. My first challenge was your AI assistant, Rio, which repeatedly prevented me from connecting to a human executive. After considerable effort, I was finally connected to Mr. Ayush. Instead of resolving my concern, Mr. Ayush only confused the situation. He repeatedly pushed irrelevant services that I never required and falsely claimed that services already included in my booking were not covered and would require additional payment. His statements were completely inconsistent with my booked service and only misled me further. When the service was completed, your service partner demanded additional charges that were never part of my booking. Without informing me, explaining the reason, or even considering my concern, those charges were added to my bill. I was never consulted before the amount was revised. I informed Mr. Ayush that this was unethical and unprofessional and requested that the matter be escalated to a senior executive who had the authority, professionalism, and judgment to resolve the issue fairly. He refused to do so. Since the conversation was no longer meaningful, I disconnected the call. I then tried to explain to the service partner that I was willing to make any legitimate payment after receiving a resolution from the senior team. Instead of cooperating, he remained arrogant and refused to listen. At the same time, Mr. Ayush repeatedly called me despite me clearly stating that I had no interest in speaking with someone who was unwilling to resolve the issue professionally. The situation became worse when the service partner refused to leave my home until I made the payment. I was left with only two choices—pay an unjustified amount or call the police to my own residence. No customer should ever be forced into such a humiliating and intimidating situation. I eventually contacted customer support again, hoping to reach a senior executive. Instead, I was connected to Mr. Ayush again, despite having clearly requested escalation. Instead of resolving the issue, he continued defending the unjustified charges with explanations that do not exist anywhere in your application or policies. I informed him that if the matter was not resolved immediately, I would be compelled to take legal action. Despite this, no effort was made to resolve the issue, leaving me with no option but to pay under pressure simply to end the ordeal. This incident caused significant psychological distress and mental harassment. No customer should have to experience such treatment because of the failure of your support team to respond professionally and responsibly. A simple apology will not undo what happened. By that logic, I could also have refused to pay your partner, apologized later, and then allowed him to leave. That is not accountability, and I expect the same standard from Urban Company. I therefore demand: A complete investigation into the conduct of Mr. Ayush and the service partner. A refund of the ₹1,500–₹1,600 that was wrongfully collected from me. Appropriate compensation for the psychological distress and harassment caused by your representatives. A written explanation for the actions of your support team and why my request for escalation was ignored. A formal written apology to be sent to [email protected]. Confirmation of the disciplinary and corrective action taken to ensure that no other customer experiences such treatment. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution, I will proceed with legal and consumer proceedings. I have preserved all call recordings, billing details, and supporting evidence. I expect accountability, a professional resolution, a refund of the disputed amount, appropriate compensation for the mental harassment caused, and a written apology—not another generic response.
