Frequently asked questions

Can I get cleaning service for my Hindware Nevio 90 chimney?

Yes! Not all electric chimneys or kitchen chimneys are the same. We make sure to provide technicians, who have expertise in dealing with different brands like Hindware, Kaff, Bajaj, etc.

How often should I clean my chimney?

To be sure everything works fine with your kitchen and fireplace; homeowners are recommended to get their chimneys cleaned every 3-4 months.

Why do we need to clean our electric kitchen chimney?

The exhaust burning gases, oil and spice fumes when pulled into the chimney by a powerful exhaust fan leave behind a black tar-like substance sticking to the walls of chimney. Over time it builds up and leaves a glazing which is supposed to be highly combustible and unhygienic. This is why chimneys should be regularly cleaned.

What if the repair doesn’t last?

Though it’s not a regular scenario, Urban Company gives you a 30 days service guarantee which covers a revisit in the case of any repair required within 30 days post the service.

During the inspection, it was found that the chimney motor is not functioning properly due to excessive wear and damage in the motor sleeve assembly. The sleeve has developed significant play, causing abnormal noise, vibration, reduced suction performance, and increased load on the motor. Continuous operation in this condition may lead to complete motor failure and further damage to internal components. The chimney was thoroughly checked, and no external electrical issue was observed. The issue is primarily related to the worn sleeve and associated motor parts. Replacement of the damaged sleeve assembly and inspection of the motor are recommended to restore normal performance, ensure proper suction, and prevent future breakdowns. Customer has been informed about the findings and the recommended repair/replacement process. Best technician mr. Raji SARAVANAN.
