Hi Team, I recently booked a cockroach pest control service, which included the package where the professional helps with removing and replacing items like utensils, bags, etc. But honestly, the experience didn’t go as expected. The person who came had initially assured us that he would handle everything. But when he started the work, he didn’t really follow through. He was quite old, which we didn’t think would be a problem at first, but later it became clear that he was struggling with the work. He started making excuses like, “there’s no need to spray here, there are no cockroaches here,” and when we asked him to properly remove things, he got irritated and started roughly shifting and throwing items around instead of handling them carefully. We had to guide him on how to proceed step by step — there was no plan or proper approach from his side. To be honest, this didn’t feel like the usual Urban Clap professional service, but more like someone from the nearby street hired for basic work. At some point, I had to take the spray bottle myself and do the spraying because he wasn’t able to bend or reach lower areas where spraying was needed. I’m not saying we didn’t get any result — we did — but compared to my previous experience with Urban Clap, this was far below the usual standards. Whenever he couldn’t reach certain places, instead of finding a way to do it, he just said it’s not necessary and started giving us health lectures. But we had booked the 2BHK service for a reason — because we know where the problem areas are and we wanted those spots treated properly. Even if I ignore his concerns for a moment, he still didn’t handle our belongings with care and kept saying that we should move things ourselves, even though that was part of the service I had paid for. His focus was mostly on making a video showing the few cockroaches he killed, but our goal was to get rid of them properly — not keep calling for repeat services again and again. Because honestly, moving everything out, cleaning, and reorganizing is physically and mentally exhausting, and we wanted it done properly the first time itself. On top of that, after finishing the service, he forced me to give him a rating right in front of him, which was quite uncomfortable. Ratings should be given honestly, not under pressure. I don’t care about what rating he gives me — all I expected was a respectful, professional service where both sides understand each other. That’s why I booked the 2BHK full service with removal help in the first place. I still appreciate his effort and thank him for the time, but I cannot say that I was fully satisfied or comfortable with how it was done. I hope you’ll take this feedback seriously. Thank you.
