I am raising a serious complaint regarding my TV repair and the way my service request has been handled. I requested a TV repair on 23rd August. Urban Company assigned technician Neeraj, who took almost 10 days to repair the TV and delivered it to my home. I paid ₹3,139 for the repair. However, after only 2 days, the TV developed the same display problem again. I contacted Urban Company/Neeraj again, and the TV was taken away for repair once more. It has now been almost another week, and despite several attempts to contact Neeraj, I did not receive proper updates. Today, 5th September, I called Neeraj in the morning and was told that the TV had been repaired and would be delivered in the evening. At around 6:30 PM, however, he suddenly informed me that the TV was not repaired and was still showing the same display issue. I then contacted Urban Company customer care and explained the entire situation. The customer-care representative told me that she would check with the professional and call me back within 5 minutes. I waited for around 20 minutes but did not receive any call. After that, Neeraj came to my home and told me that I needed to close the existing service request because the motherboard component could not be repaired and that the motherboard would need to be replaced at a cost of ₹5,200. I closed the ongoing request as instructed by him. He then asked me to create a new TV repair booking, for which I paid ₹308. He subsequently told me that the booking had been assigned to Mahendra and cancelled that booking. He then shared another link and asked me to make another booking for the repair, again involving a ₹308 payment. My questions are: I already paid ₹3,139 for the original repair, so why has the same problem returned within just 2 days? If Urban Company provides a 6-month warranty on the repair, why am I being asked to pay another ₹5,200 for a motherboard replacement when the TV has developed the same issue almost immediately after the repair? Why was an old/used component apparently used during the original repair, resulting in the same issue occurring again? Why was I asked to close the existing warranty-related service request and create a new paid booking? Why have I been asked to pay additional booking charges when this appears to be a continuation/failure of the original repair? I want Urban Company to clarify whether the ₹5,200 motherboard replacement is actually required and, if so, why it is not covered under the repair warranty. I request Urban Company to reopen/reinstate my original complaint under the applicable repair warranty, review the complete service history, and arrange an inspection by a senior/independent technician rather than simply assigning the matter back to the same technician. I am not agreeing to pay ₹5,200 for a new motherboard until Urban Company provides a proper written explanation regarding the warranty and establishes why this is not a failure of the previous repair. I also request a refund/adjustment of any unnecessary additional booking charges paid by me in relation to this warranty issue. Please treat this as a formal complaint and provide me with a written resolution.
