FEEDBACK – EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE EXPERIENCE I would like to formally record my dissatisfaction with the service provided by the technician assigned to my complaint. Firstly, the technician arrived late despite a scheduled appointment. If a service professional is likely to be delayed, the minimum expected standard is that the customer should be informed in advance by the technician or through Urban Company’s customer service system. No such communication was made. Secondly, and more importantly, the technician arrived without the required spare parts, despite the problem having been clearly communicated beforehand. Photographs of the equipment and the issue were shared the previous night specifically so that the technician could understand the requirement and arrive adequately prepared. Coming to a scheduled repair visit without reviewing the information provided and without carrying the likely required spares reflects poor planning, lack of preparation and complete disregard for the customer’s time. I would also request Urban Company to verify whether the technician is appropriately trained and certified to undertake this particular repair. Customers are entitled to know that the person being assigned to repair their equipment possesses the necessary technical competence and authorisation. The larger concern here is the complete absence of a consumer-friendly and solution-oriented approach. A technician is not doing the customer a favour by attending a paid service request. The customer is paying for a professional service and is therefore entitled to expect punctuality, preparation, technical competence, appropriate tools/spares and proper communication. Merely sending a technician to the customer's location cannot be considered satisfactory service if he arrives late, comes unprepared and is unable to resolve an issue that had already been explained with photographs. In my assessment, this amounts to a serious deficiency in service and reflects poorly on Urban Company’s service standards and quality-control mechanism. I request Urban Company to: 1. Review the technician’s conduct and technical competency/certification. 2. Explain why the photographs and information shared in advance were not acted upon. 3. Explain why the technician arrived without the necessary spare parts. 4. Review the failure to communicate the delay in the scheduled appointment. 5. Arrange for a competent and properly equipped technician who can actually resolve the issue rather than merely attend the location. I expect Urban Company to treat this feedback seriously and provide a proper resolution rather than considering an unsuccessful technician visit as completion of service.
