Ikea Furniture Assembly in Mumbai, India

We booked this service expecting an electrician to do a light fitting of an Ikea product. The professional (if we can even use that word), looked at the Ikea product, and told us that he can fit it, but proceeded to do a very shoddy job. He did not measure any of the fittings properly but proceeded to start drilling, which later led to an alignment issue. While drilling, the machine slipped from his hand and it damaged the ceiling and the surrounding paint. After we expressed that the service was unsatisfactory, only then did he mention that he is a carpenter by profession, and not an electrician. He should have mentioned his proficiency/experience (or lack of it) before starting the work, instead of misrepresenting and proclaiming that he can do it. Sadly, we have to incur expenses to try and fix what has been done. We are extremely disappointed with how this has turned out.
