My Sony LED KDL40EX 650, Malaysia make , having Internet facility was purchased in April 2012 from CROMA @ Rs 65000/-, never become faulty even for once prior to December 2025, when it was opened first time by one technician, cleaned dust and started working well . Now in March 2026, when your first technician Mahesh Kumar , wiped mother board under water, before it was working & some times intermittent picture, but back light never disappeared . Then I again paid charges for senior technician, who declared mother board faulty, replaced it , with a smallest cheaper mother board of approx 550/-, without any safety feature, mismatching etc , feeding excess voltage to back light LED, may be due to wrong connections, he tried for almost five hours, but after 20minutes working, back light LEDs burnt, which has not happened in past due to no protection circuit in universal motherboard. When your technician noticed it’s running on high voltage, kept consulting someone, how to reduce voltage, but couldn’t control & LED backlight got fused , decided to take LED to work shop, to find exact fault & replace back light LEDs burnt. UC declared universal motherboard not provided by them. Since in market its price is 550/- & UC’s charges are fixed around 3900/-, so technician took leave for the day, to take benefit of wide difference in Amount. But finally extensive damage to my LED. I was given estimate of 4600/-, which I accepted, hoping my TV will be all right but it worked for 20min . for lack of knowledge & ignoring actual fault , he didn’t bother to set it right. My original motherboard may be good, but unnecessary replaced it , to gain higher amount . Any how my LED of higher end was damaged unnecessarily, for which I don’t want to pay, may be returned in original condition or suitably compensated for damage. The LED is in your custody. Thanks
