The technician visited my home for an LED TV repair. After inspecting the TV, he informed us that the motherboard was faulty. He said he would first try to repair it, and if that didn't resolve the issue, he would replace the motherboard. He quoted the charges for both options, and we agreed to proceed with whichever solution was required. The technician then took the TV with him. After 2–3 days, he called and informed me that he was still working on it as there were some issues. A few days later, he came to our home and advised us that it would be better to get the TV repaired at an authorized Samsung service center, claiming that it would cost us less. The very next day, around 9:00 AM, he returned the TV. Following his advice, we registered a service request with Samsung. Their engineer visited, replaced the motherboard, and when the TV was switched on, a thick vertical line appeared on the display panel. According to the Samsung engineer, this damage is consistent with panel damage caused by mishandling. It appears that the damage may have occurred while the TV was in the possession of the Urban Company technician. This also explains why he suddenly advised us to approach Samsung instead of completing the repair himself, seemingly to avoid responsibility for the damage. He gave his number and asked me to call if any help is required and when I called him later for sharing this thing he didn't pick the call even after trying for 4-5 times. I would like to know who will bear the cost of this damage. This has been a very disappointing experience with Urban Company. I expected better professionalism and accountability. Unless this issue is resolved fairly, I will not be using Urban Company's services again and will not recommend them to others.
