Sagar opened the Chimney's circuit board immediately we found that the fuse holder was un mounted from the PCB due to the place being over heated and it was unsoldered. He immediately told me that the PCB and Motor winding is required. I asked him how do you know that motor winding is damaged? He said that if PCB is damaged, the motor winding is 100% damaged. He quoted me a price of approx 6K. I said its too much for me and I can get a new chimney at the same repair price to which he asked what would I do with your current chimney? I told him that I will exchange with the seller whatever amount he will offer. He immediately offered me Rs 500 for my faulty Chimney and at this moment I grew suspicious. I told him no I will get this re-checked by another technician. He kept saying there is no point and it is 100% damaged. I being an electronic hobbyist and an IT guy, just completed the circuit with plain wire (bypassed the fuse) and my bingo...my chimney turned on and the motor is working as expected. Thanks to my intuition that my chimney was okay just had a minor hiccup and I managed to solder the fuse circuit and replaced the fuse and all was working fine. Thanks that I was saved by UC scammer.
