Called him for deep servicing and instead he said chimney motor needs rewinding and some repair so took it away for 2 days. And told me to pay 2800 extra for this. Didn’t update the quote on app till the last minute and only did after me pushing. When he updated the extra charges went up to 3200. I told I won’t pay and he said ok pay me 2800 cash and I will close the request. He even said you can get one free deep servicing in next 6 months. When I asked how, he said just claim the 6 months warranty for that! There was no difference in chimney performance after the service. Still very noisy which was the reason I was getting it serviced.

Person did not open/dismantle the motor since he said for my type of exhaust motor was easily accessible. After his service completion and payment I notice the fan inside was covered in grease as before.
