I am writing this review to strongly advise everyone against using Urban Company for home painting services. What was promised as a professional and hassle-free experience turned into a 15-day nightmare characterized by egregious unprofessionalism, deceit, and a complete lack of accountability from the company's side. The primary issue centered around the assigned contractor, Rohitbhai Rathod. His conduct was rude, arrogant, and outright deceitful. Dealing with him was stressful and deeply frustrating, setting a negative tone for the entire project. This type of unprofessionalism is unacceptable for a service partner representing a major platform like Urban Company. Compounding the personnel issue was the catastrophic failure in execution. The painting work was carried out without properly covering any of the furniture or electronic items. Even after I repeatedly complained to Urban Company about this critical oversight, no effective action was taken to remedy the situation or ensure basic protection. This negligence has resulted in damage and requires extensive cleaning. Furthermore, a job that should have taken a few days dragged on for a shocking 15 days, causing massive disruption to our home and schedule. Urban Company's post-complaint handling was equally abysmal. Despite the severe complaints regarding the contractor’s conduct and work quality, the company failed to provide a substitute professional to take over the job and ensure quality control. Instead, they assigned an SME (Subject Matter Expert), Jeetendera Mishra, whose involvement felt like a mere formality designed to close the complaint ticket rather than genuinely resolve the issues. Crucially, there was no official confirmation or final follow-up provided by Urban Company after the work was finally completed. In summary, Urban Company is unequivocally the worst company for a home painting job. Their failure to vet their professionals, enforce basic quality standards, and provide meaningful customer resolution makes them unusable for this critical service. I am never recommending their home painting service to anyone. Save yourself the stress, damage, and excessive time commitment.
