Complaint Regarding Incomplete Refrigerator Gasket Replacement, Duplicate ₹249 Charges & Incorrect Job Closure Dear Urban Company Support Team, I am raising a complaint regarding the refrigerator repair service assigned to your technician, Sandesh. During Sandesh's first visit, he inspected my refrigerator and informed me that the gasket needed to be replaced. I agreed to the replacement and asked him to proceed. During this first visit, I paid ₹249 as the visiting/inspection charge. He then informed me that the new gasket would be delivered within 8–10 days. After around 10 days, Sandesh contacted/visited me again and said that he needed to take measurements for the gasket. During this subsequent visit, he again collected ₹249 from me and specifically told me that this second ₹249 payment would be deducted from the final bill once the gasket replacement work was completed. He also provided a quotation of approximately ₹2,800 for a new gasket, which I agreed to. Sandesh then took the old gasket from my refrigerator to obtain the measurements accurately and told me that he would return with the new gasket the same evening. However, he did not return. I contacted him the following day, and he again assured me that he would come, but he did not. Eventually, he came the next afternoon, but he did not bring the new gasket. Instead, he started cutting and joining another gasket using heat/fire in an attempt to modify it to fit my refrigerator. When I questioned him about this, he clearly stated that he had not brought the new gasket and was attempting to make one by modifying another gasket. I immediately refused this. I had agreed to pay approximately ₹2,800 for a new and proper gasket, not a cut, joined, repaired or modified gasket. Sandesh then told me that he would go back and arrange a properly assembled new gasket suitable for my refrigerator and left. The next day, when I contacted him, he told me that he needed another two days to bring the new gasket. However, I have now received a notification that the Urban Company job has been closed, despite the fact that: - The new gasket has not been provided. - The gasket replacement has not been completed. - No final bill has been generated. - I have already paid ₹249 twice during the service visits. - The second ₹249 was specifically stated by Sandesh to be adjustable against the final bill after completion of the work. - No such adjustment has been made because the work was never completed. There is also an important issue regarding the condition of my refrigerator. Since Sandesh took away the existing gasket and did not replace it as promised, the refrigerator was not closing properly and was not cooling the items inside properly. As a result, the food/items stored inside were spoiled and I had to throw them away. I therefore request Urban Company to investigate this matter thoroughly and provide an appropriate refund, particularly the second ₹249 that was collected specifically against the promised completion/final bill, since the agreed work was never completed. I also request you to review why the job was marked as closed/completed when the replacement was clearly not carried out. I have call recordings, photographs and videos documenting the entire incident, including the technician's visits, his statements, and his attempt to cut and join another gasket using heat/fire. I can provide all of this evidence to Urban Company if required. Please treat this as a formal complaint and confirm the refund and resolution at the earliest. Regards, Muhamed Haneef Khan

The technician (Sandesh Pujari) is very unprofessional, did not carry proper tools to carry out service and repairs to my refrigerator, and too of it damaged my refrigerator permanently. Even customer support people (1. TARUN KUMAR & 2. MEEKA MAGAR) both did not provide proper resolution and wasted my whole day by misinformation that their technician will bring the damaged part by evening. Since Saturday they made me wait till today and now they closed the booking on their end without my consent.
