The stylist arrived on time, which I appreciate. However, this has been a repeated issue with the same professional. I am a performing artist and have been working professionally for over 26 years, so I understand makeup, hair, styling, and what a finished look should require. I had booked eye makeup and hairstyling, but the eye makeup was not handled properly at all. She did not seem to understand how to work with hooded eyes, and I eventually had to get the eye makeup done myself. This has happened with her before as well, where I have had to guide, correct, and practically do parts of the service myself. For a paid professional appointment, I expect the artist to understand the brief, have the required technical knowledge, and deliver a polished result without the customer having to take over. Punctuality was good, but the quality of work, confidence, and skill need serious improvement.
