Extremely Bad Experience with Urban Company – Privacy and Poor Service I booked a Sara Lightning Glow facial and Rica roll-on waxing for full arms, full legs, and underarms. My experience was extremely disappointing. My biggest concern is privacy. The professional took my picture and claimed it was company policy. However, another professional I booked for the next day told me there was no such policy. Why was my picture taken? Where is it stored, and who has access to it? I need a clear answer from Urban Company, or I will escalate this matter. I booked the more expensive Sara Lightning Glow facial, but the product she used was labelled Power Glow, which is cheaper. She claimed the product names in the app are not updated and both products are the same. I want Urban Company to confirm whether this is true. She also did not remove my blackheads and whiteheads using an extraction tool during the facial. She agreed of using the wrong product only when she was not able to end her job. Her husband kept calling her from the car, pressuring her to finish quickly. She tried to complete all my waxing in just 10 minutes and did it so aggressively that I developed red marks and injuries on my body, along with two or three cuts on my face. I have pictures as evidence. The next day’s professional also noticed the cuts and confirmed that the waxing had not been done properly. Throughout the appointment, she complained about customers giving her negative ratings for spoiling bedsheets and questioning her products. She even said she wanted clients who would not question her. Every customer has the right to check products being used on their body. She also claimed that the next professional would not bring rose petals for my manicure and pedicure because they were not included in the package. However, the next professional was very sweet, showed me the products beforehand, and the rose petals were included. Her claims about the other professional and the products were misleading. Additionally, Urban Company should encourage professionals to maintain fresh breath not bad breath, including chewing gum where appropriate, as customers are very close to them during facials. Overall, this was a terrible experience involving privacy concerns, questionable products, incomplete facial service, injuries, rushing, and unprofessional behaviour. I want clear answers about why my picture was taken, which facial product was used, and what action Urban Company will take. Customers deserve safety, honesty, privacy, and professional service.
