The person who cleaned my chimney was hard working. But my assessment is that Urban Company has not trained him well. He has been with the company for 6 months and I think if you had spent more time training him, he would have been a far more efficient worker. The following are my observations: 1. He wanted to dismantle the entire chimney. In the last ten years no one who has cleaned our chimney wanted to take down the installed chimney to clean it. 2. He insisted that the outer covering of the motor had to be opened. Even if that is true, he was eventually not able to open it and said it was jammed because it hadn’t been cleaned for long. No chimney cleaner has ever said that. 3. We provided him hot water. He mixed the chemicals provided by Urban Company. When the water appeared filthy, I requested him to get fresh water. He argued with me saying that it was not allowed since the chemical had been mixed the water. Eventually he agreed when I insisted that it was the client’s request. 4. The company has not provided proper brushes for cleaning the corners. He used a screwdriver and covered it with a green cloth. I told him that the green cloth will not prevent the scratches. Urban Company should provide plastics knife blunt at the top end so that corners can be cleaned. 5. He did not know how to open a Kaff chimney. I had to show him the sign and direction for opening the glass. Urban Company takes a fair bit of money. It must train its staff to work with chimneys of different brands. The person who came to clean has potential but must be trained well. It should also be explained to him that he shouldn’t tell a client that he will leave unless allowed to work in the way he wants to.

He should be given clean cloth to clean .. his cloth was so dirty that chimney’s outer was getting even more dirtier so finally we had to give him our cloth .. apart from that service was ok.
