Review: Extremely Disappointed with Urban Company Washing Machine Repair Service I had booked a washing machine repair service through Urban Company, and unfortunately, it has been one of the most frustrating service experiences I’ve had. The technician initially visited on Sunday after my washing machine started showing a DC error. He informed me that rats had damaged the wiring and that the motherboard needed to be repaired at the service center. He assured me there was an 80% chance it would be fixed by Monday and guaranteed it would be completed by Tuesday. However, he did not show up on Tuesday. Despite several follow-up calls, he only visited on Thursday, where he completed only part of the repair and then claimed the sensor was also faulty. He left again, saying he needed to source the part. He finally returned on Friday, replaced the sensor, and switched on the machine. Since the display was working, I assumed the issue had been resolved. Unfortunately, within minutes of him leaving, the washing machine shut down completely, and the display stopped working again. I immediately contacted him and requested that he return, but he refused and said he would only come the next morning. The next morning, he again failed to show up. I had to raise a revisit request through Urban Company before he finally came in the evening. Even during the revisit, he was unable to identify or fix the issue. He spent a long time on a video call with someone for guidance, yet the problem remained unresolved. To make matters worse, he then informed me that the motherboard would once again have to be taken for repair and demanded an additional ₹1,000, even though the washing machine had stopped working immediately after his repair. At that point, I completely lost confidence in the service and refused to pay any additional amount. I asked him to return the machine as it was because I was no longer satisfied with the quality of the repair. Overall, this experience involved repeated delays, missed commitments, poor communication, an unresolved issue, and an attempt to charge extra despite the failed repair. I expected a much higher standard of professionalism and accountability from Urban Company. I hope this matter is taken seriously and appropriate action is taken so that other customers do not face a similar experience.
