If there’s one outfit brides leave till the very last minute, it’s the Haldi Outfit. Just because it’s taken so much effort to get the rest of your wedding wardrobe right, don’t ignore what you’ll be wearing to your Haldi! Honestly, it doesn’t take a lot of effort to get this right. Here are some interesting ideas from what real brides wore to their own Haldi ceremonies –
Short kurti with patiala pants, a NOT yellow anarkali or adding a heavy benarsi dupatta – there are many different ways in which you can carry off a kurta to your Haldi!
You can ditch the dupatta when it’s time for you to sit down and get Haldi-d!
The dupatta and blouse matter the most here, so pick a plain lehenga and go bold with the other pieces of the outfit.
You might either be bound by tradition to wear a specific type of sari, or you just prefer one for the occasion. Whatever the case may be, saris look fabulous on brides for their Haldi ceremony!
Yup, you don’t NEED to wear ethnic clothes only! Haldi is a relaxed, casual function most of the times, so you can wear pretty much anything you want 🙂 This is also a good idea if your Haldi is followed with a Pool Party at a destination wedding.
