A wedding cake inspired by a Sabyasachi anarkali? I loved the idea, considering how gorgeous the cake turned out to be!

An Idea Transcends Borders

A few months down the line, a Pakistan-based restaurant created a “Cake Couture” collection inspired by a powder pink bridal outfit by the famous designer, Faraz Manan.

They did a stellar job of recreating intricate embroidered details onto the 3-tier cake.

The UrbanClap Weddings Take on the Trend

Taking design elements from a pretty bridal outfit and recreating them on the wedding cake now seems like such a straight-forward why-didn’t-we-think-of-this-earlier idea. Because, obviously_, picking elements from a high-end designer’s bridal outfit and putting it on a cake

has to

_ look good!
