The All Purpose Cleaner

With household ingredients one can make a all purpose cleaner easily. It is also more effective than most store bought cleaners and not to mention, cheaper! All it takes is four parts of baking soda and one part of water. Use a bottle with a spray to store it and clean with a wt wipe or a sponge.

Where the canvas is your home

Do you have a child who is fond of colouring anywhere, but the paper? Let your kid be. You can easily remove the colour stains from wood and the wall with the help of a toothpaste. Just use your standard white toothpaste, and scrub away! Alternatively, you can scrub lightly with the help of a damp sponge and baking soda.

Stinking bin

If you can’t take the trash out every day and it starts to smell, run a few lemon rinds around your bin and run it under cold water after. You will have a fresh smelling bin in no time!

The handy lint roller

The lint roller that you have used often during winters is not really a seasonal helper. You can use it to clean your pet’s hair off the furniture, keep your child’s stuffed animals clean and also roll it over your car seats once a while.

The hairbrushes

Product build up and dirt do not make for a pretty sight when you lift up the brush to comb your hair after a wash! All you need to do is dip the brush in a soapy solution made in warm water and leave it for 30 minutes. Use an old toothbrush to clean the comb after and voila!

Clog in the drain

When your drain clogs, don’t start the hard work with the drain pump yet. Put half a cup of baking soda, followed by half a cup of vinegar. Wait just five minutes and flush with hot water.

Detangled

Wasting time on tangled jewellery makes me not want to wear it. Sprinkle baby powder on your jewellery and untangle it with the help of a pin. The baby powder loosens the knots and the pin will help you pull it apart easily.

Diamonds are forever

Cleaning your earrings and wedding ring is important to keep it shining always. Just use surf or any detergent. Mix it in some hot water and let the jewellery soak in it for an hour. Clean with a used toothbrush and you will have your diamonds shinning back again.

Shinning windows

Windows help stream in the light and help you view the outside with a cup of coffee and a book in hand. You would definitely not want your view tarnished by dull windows. White vinegar to the rescue! Mix just one table spoon of it in litre of water. Use a bottle with a nozzle to dispense it on the window and wipe using a cloth.
