There’s no better way to contribute to a healthy and cleaner community than picking up our own brooms and cleaning it, especially in common spaces where access to cleanliness is a real need.

Envisaging a clean, hygienic and sanitized environment, Urban Company, standing true to its notable identity in India as the prodigy in the ‘Cleanliness’ space, undertook cleaning public spaces as their Corporate Social Responsibility in November 2022 under the campaign name Come Let’s Clean!’

2022 also marks the 8th year of our successful operation in India.

Our employees across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru took up brooms and scrubs to ensure community spaces were polished and buffed to the core.

This significant activity was kicked off in collaboration with Annamrita ISKCON Foundation in Delhi and Mumbai and The Akshaya Patra Foundation in Bengaluru, 3 large community kitchens that feed lakhs of people in India daily.

Commenting on the dedication of our employees in undertaking the mission, Annamrita Foundation’s Delhi Branch Manager, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Rai, commented, “I’m happy with Urban Company’s initiative. The task that our team is unable to do, [UC] is doing it today. I never thought this level of cleaning was possible…Apart from the basic cleaning that we do everyday, through this initiative we’re also learning how to ensure complete sanitisation in our kitchens that feed thousands and lakhs of people daily.”

We also ensured it was not just simple dusting and mopping, but a high-quality ‘UC-level’ of cleaning that was achieved at the community kitchens. The cleaning squad in Delhi was also accompanied by the Pan-India UC Training Head for the cleaning category, Mr. Sukhminder Singh Nanda, who briefed and trained all the participants on effective cleaning methods, and guided them on using UC’s specialised cleaning tools used by hundreds of partners daily.

Our employees were seen carrying through with utmost dedication and sincerity. “…the experience has been really humbling…it felt really good to be a part of something, even in a very small way, just by helping them clean their facility.”, said Ashvatth Verma, AVP, Salon – Nails. He is confident that he’ll be part of the ‘Come Let’s Clean’ campaign going forward.
