Mansha & Gautam had a gorgeous winter wedding in Delhi last year, and if there’s ever an award for the most Pinterest-worthy wedding, this is the one that would win! The bride took three months off work to plan everything to perfection. While the decor looked fabulous and we loved how Mansha added cute little personalisations to everything, it’s her bridal style that converted us into fans forever. The 24-year-old chose Sabyasachi, Anita Dongre & Ritu Kumar designer bridal wear, accessorised with limited jewellery pieces and finished it up with flawless natural makeup.
We won’t keep you waiting then, go on and see 20+ unique wedding ideas you can steal from this Pin-teresting wedding!
1 The Sea Foam Sabyasachi Wedding Lehenga!
We have Sabyasachi to thank for this fresh lehenga option and for reminding us once again – every colour is a bridal colour in 2018.
Personalised hangers have been around for so long, but only a handful of brides choose to get one made. We say – go for it! The special feeling you’ll get every time you use it will make it worth it. After all, you can’t see your wedding lehenga every day, but you can surely see (and use!) the hanger!
2 Her Bridal Hairstyle
Mansha kept her wedding day hairdo simple and fresh by adding a simple wreath of baby’s breath to her bun. Thanks to Pinterest, baby’s breath is back in fashion in Indian weddings and are a personal favourite for giving a fresh and minimal touch to bridal hairstyles. The only catch is that they may start to dull down after 4-5 hours so opt for these for a short-duration function.
3 Wedding Jewellery According to Her Comfort
One thing that’s constant across all of Mansha’s looks is her decision to stay away from heavy bridal jewellery. She told us, “I’m an outfit person through and through and not very fond of jewellery. So I’d told my parents that despite how much jewellery a bride ought to wear, I didn’t want to look like anything but myself on my functions and after insisting a few times, they gave in to my pleas. I spent about 7-8 months finding my outfits and not more than a month looking for my jewellery, it was all either from Tanishq, Bholasons Jewellers or Carat Lane.” We loved how she didn’t need a nath to feel “complete” as a bride, and her pretty bridal necklace!

4 Peach choodas & varmala coordinated with the couple’s wedding look
We love how peach choodas add a sense of youth and freshness to traditional summer and spring weddings! As for the varmala, couples often end up leaving it to the florists/ decorators’ mercy. But Mansha paid special attention to the flowers and colours of her varmala. If you’re a bride-to-be, discuss your wedding-day outfit colours with your decorator and ask them to share accurate pictures of design options.
5 How The Groom Matched The Bride’s Outfit
With a pocket square in the same green colour as her lehenga! And his pink turban matched bits of the decor!
6 A Mix & Match of Traditions and a Unique Bridal Entry
Mansha explains, “I grew up across three continents where I only saw Christian weddings and always wanted mine to be one too. I knew that would be tough to organize but my parents let me run with it. I took Hindu, Sikh and Christian traditions and made them my own.” Despite being a Punjabi (Sikh) bride, she chose to ditch kaleereys, opting to hold a bouquet of flowers instead. She also ditched the phoolon ki chaadar. Her father walked her down the aisle (like they do at white weddings!) while Budapest by George Ezra played as her bridal entry song!
7 Awesome Anand Karaj Entryway Idea & Decor!
Not everyone is well-versed with the etiquettes for an Anand Karaj ceremony, so informing them via a pretty entry sign is helpful. Don’t miss the personalised hand sanitizer bottles for the guests to clean their hands with!
*gasp*
8 THE DECOR! <3
The Anand Karaj entry sign was just one of the many that Mansha had displayed at her wedding. The decor was the right mash-up of botanical and rustic, with peaches, pinks and whites added to lend elegance to the ambience.

Flower petals in easy DIY cones (made by rolling paper doilies & hanging them with clothes pins!) so that guests can shower the couple with their “floral blessings”
Give them something to do with “Things About Him & Her You Did Not Know” placards on each table

11 Vintage Car Decorated Innovatively for the Wedding!
12 Make a good wedding hashtag & then spread the word!
Step one: create an insanely good wedding hashtag. GAutam & MAnsha became #GaMaSutra – an obvious play on words 🙂 And they didn’t miss a chance to remind the guests of their wedding hashtag!
On Wedding Signs
The groom even had the wedding hashtag on a wristband!
13 Incorporate The Wedding Hashtag Innovatively
We give them full points for involving the hashtag in different aspects of their wedding. On Cocktail/Sangeet night, the couple divided their guests and bar into two teams – Ga and Ma – and organized a successful drinking competition between the gangs. That’s a steal-worthy idea right there!
14 The Bride’s Ivory & Gold Sangeet Look
Anita Dongre is Mansha’s favourite designer, so her Sangeet outfit had to be an AD piece! We love how she accessorised with simple gold bangles and a statement jhoomar. Brides, take note – you don’t NEED to wear something on the neck for your own functions. There are no “rules” – you can make your own!
15 The Bride’s Reception Look <3
The red Ritu Kumar sari!
The constraint she showed in her jewellery & makeup
Perfect natural makeup on a bride when you’re already wearing a red sari!
16 Her personalised Mrs. robe!
Makes for such a great getting ready photo, right?
17 All White Reception Decor
All white works beautifully at outdoor venues!
18 Her Minimal Mehendi Design
Mansha was truly a bride who did exactly what she was comfortable. Love the design, love the confidence!
19 Personalise, personalise, personalise!
Did you notice that the mehendi had the bride & groom’s nicknames included in it? They call each other Goose & Maverick (don’t ask us why!) – and they personalised their Mr & Mrs chairs at the wedding with these names too!
20 Bride’s Mehendi Look (Outfit, Hairstyle & Jewellery!)
A small maang tika and pretty loose curls is sometimes all you need to look fabulous on your Mehendi function.
21 Everything About The Bridal Shower
There were Team Bride props everywhere –
And the giveaways included green potlis for the bridesmaids – so that they could coordinate with Mansha on her wedding day!
The couple brought in their love for the Harry Potter universe with Make Love, Not Horcruxes goody bags to keep the hangover kits in, and gave away personalised hip flasks.
22 Super elegant wedding invite
A simple white & gold invite like this is a classy choice. We love the soft pink wax seal! Brides, remember to get your invites photographed – it’s a special memory you’ll want to keep!
The bride’s hard work gave us many steal-worthy ideas that we’re sure to see in the coming wedding season. Happy Pinning!
