What is FoamJet aircon servicing?

FoamJet uses high-pressure foam to deep-clean both the front and back of the evaporator coil, along with the filters, drainage tray and blower wheel. The foam works into the coil and breaks down dust, grime, mould and bacteria that a standard wipe-down cannot reach. It is then jet-washed away, taking the loosened debris with it. The result is a unit that is clean throughout, not just on the surface.

How FoamJet servicing works, step by step

Airflow measured first

: before touching the unit, the Professional measures airflow with an anemometer. The reading is saved in the Urban Company app as a baseline.

Inspection

: the unit is checked for mould, drainage blockages or anything that points to a deeper issue than routine servicing.

Foam on the coil, front and back

: foam is applied to the evaporator coil, filters, drainage tray and blower wheel, lifting dirt and microbial buildup from surfaces standard cleaning misses.

Jet wash and rinse

: the foam and loosened debris are rinsed away. You are shown the dirty water at the end as proof of work.

Airflow measured again

: once the unit is dry and reassembled, airflow is measured again, so you can see the before-and-after improvement in the app.

Why standard aircon servicing falls short

Standard servicing usually covers the air filters and the front of the evaporator coil. It is quick and cheap, and it looks like maintenance. But dust collects mainly at the

back of the evaporator coil
