We break down her outfit, makeup and jewellery choices and how she styled them to look like the most beautiful minimalistic bride!

We’re all going to be talking about Sonam Kapoor & Neha Dhupia’s weddings in the same conversation for atleast another month. Considering they’re both celebrities who got married within days of each other, and how starkly different the announcements for the weddings were (Neha’s was a top-secret ceremony), everyone’s been comparing the two weddings. And let’s not forget all those Sonam vs Anushka wedding photos making their way around the internet!

What we’ve been looking at and loving about Neha Dhupia’s wedding, though, was her 3 bridal looks. We really, really love how Neha Dhupia went for a minimalistic, fuss-free bridal look. And how she paired it with natural looking makeup (another trend we predicted when Anushka Sharma went for an almost no-makeup bridal makeup style at her wedding!)

Bridal Look #1: What She Wore To Her Wedding

Wedding Lehenga Designer: Anita Dongre

Neha picked this soft pink lehenga from Anita Dongre’s 2018 collection, and it was absolutely beautiful. It’s light, and gives a clear message to the brides out there – pick a light lehenga if that’s what YOU want to wear to your wedding! It’s completely ok to do that!

The colour was perfect for the day wedding held at a Gurudwara in Delhi.

And the lovely shades of pastel green and bubblegum pink that stood out on her dupatta’s border made the whole look even more beautiful.

ProTip for Brides: Remember how the dupatta that drapes over your head is maybe even more important than your lehenga! After all, it’s what will frame your face in all the wedding photos!

The Wedding Jewellery

Your bridal necklace, earrings and hair accessories are equally important, because they’re also framing your face in every single wedding photograph! Neha Dhupia chose to wear a heavy choker set, which balanced the simple wedding lehenga perfectly.

ProTip for Brides: The easiest hack for a balanced bridal look? Pair that heavy wedding outfit with delicate, smaller pieces of jewellery or if you want a simple, light wedding outfit, pick heavier or even statement jewellery to complement it.

Bridal Makeup

The makeup was very, very soft, complementing the soft colours of her outfit. There was a simple flick of eyeliner and a mauve lipstick on the bride.

With all the soft shades going on in the outfit, what did the bride to choose to add a pop of colour with? The bindi! It’s the only bright colour in her bridal look. And the traditional red choodas, of course.

Wedding Hairstyle

Her hair was tied in a bun, and covered with flowers. This is definitely another bridal trend for 2018 – a bridal bun covered with lots and lots of flowers. We’re wondering how heavy it feels to have so much weight on your head, but the super light net dupatta draped over the head probably helps.

Once the Gurudwara ceremony was done, Neha Dhupia simply took off the dupatta from over her head to continue the rest of the wedding party. We’ve seen many brides look awkward once the dupatta comes off the head, but the sleek bun, middle parting, lots of flowers and simple maang tika was the perfect hairdo with the perfect accessories to go from serious Anand Karaj ceremony to fun wedding lunch party!

Coordinated Bride & Groom Outfits

The groom, Angad Bedi, wore a white achkan by Raghavendra Rathore, a baby pink turban and a fuschia pink pocket square that coordinated well with the bride’s pink lehenga.

Bridal Look #2: What She Wore To Her Mehendi

Mehendi Outfit Designer: Masaba Gupta

Neha and Angad Bedi had a simple Mehendi ceremony at home, with the bride in a blue and gold kaftan! We loved how it was a unique pick – both in terms of colour and silhouette. A kaftan seems like such a good idea for a bride who wants to be comfortable during her Mehendi function.

Makeup, Hair & Jewellery

Continuing with the simple theme, the bride sported an almost a no-makeup look with basic jewellery pieces. She chose a half-up, half-down hairstyle with a middle parting – a classic bridal Mehendi look!

The Classic Black & Blue Combo for the Couple

The groom wore a black Raghavendra Rathore bandhgala, that looked great with the bride’s deep blue outfit!

Bridal Look #3: Chooda Ceremony

Sari Designer: Anavila

We’re not sure when she wore this but seems like a chooda ceremony. The sari was simple but incredibly elegant, as are all Anavila saris!

Makeup, Hair & Jewellery

Loved how she layered the gold choker with the delicate long necklace. Overall, her jewellery was traditional but she styled it with a modern Anavila sari and twisties in her hair to make it perfect for the 2018 bride.
