You’ve seen plenty of best-dressed celeb lists for Sonam Kapoor – Anand Ahuja’s big fat Indian wedding. But if you’re a bride-to-be, you might have noticed that there was PLENTY of bridal fashion inspiration to take from what these celebrities wore! After all, they’re wearing designer labels from Sabyasachi to Manish Malhotra, the same designers’ brides wear to their very own wedding functions!

Yes, you probably won’t pick Sabyasachi for your Mehendi, but the neon shade and light-weight embroidery makes it perfect for a smaller wedding function.

Yet another piece from the same Sabyasachi collection, this floral lehenga was styled perfectly by the actress – a statement choker and the right-sized maang tikka. It doesn’t need any more accessorizing. In fact, her entire look is so perfect (the makeup, accessories, hairstyle, outfit and draping) that you can copy it exactly as it is for your Mehendi (or even Sangeet) ceremony!

If you’re looking for something simpler and lighter (on your pocket as well!) this Masaba Gupta lehenga with that bright pop of pink for a blouse is a great choice! A bride could accessorize with a head accessory (matha patti or maang tikka) and hand jewellery to make it more “bridal”.

Katrina Kaif’s sister wore this beautiful white lehenga that a bride with a modern taste in fashion would love. You have, of course, the option of going more modest with the blouse neckline, and adding diamond or contrasting emerald or blue sapphire jewellery to complete the look.
