MTV’s VJ, Gaelyn Mendoca, kicked off the new year with what was probably THE MOST FUN WEDDING of 2018! We’ve just finished watching the video, and before we get into her wedding details, you’ve GOT to watch it. Gaelyn is the ultimate Bridechilla, and she sure knew how to have fun at her own wedding!
Most millennials will recognize Gaelyn from her days at the MTV VJ hunt. She’s now a regular face on the channel and is hosting the current Roadies season. The entire MTV gang – Ayushman Khurana, Rannvijay Singh, Neha Dhupia and Karan Kundra were at
the Sangeet and the Reception party.
It was a gorgeous white wedding, captured by the very talented photography team – The Photo Diary. And while we learnt a lot of lessons in how to be a bridechilla with Gaelyn, there are a ton of other things to love about the gorgeous affair!
The events started with a sundowner Mehndi party and Gaelyn stood out with her pastel yellow floral lehenga. She kept the jewellery to a minimum – a simple one layer maathapatti and haathphool. The maathapatti came off during the after party when Gaelyn let her hair loose and danced into the night with her buds.

Gaelyn’s bridal look was equally understated yet stunning. We especially loved her wedding hairstyle and the stunning string of diamonds, which matched her wedding dress perfectly.
While she was getting ready with her bridesmaids, she gave the three of them bridesmaid gifts – letters she personally wrote to each of them. It got all of them sentimental, and we LOVE the idea! #WeddingIdeaToSteal
And of course, then Gaelyn got back into her fun bride mode and gave the photographer some crazy photos!
In the meanwhile, the groom was getting ready, putting on his shirt that was personalised with their wedding hashtag #MarryThatGael stitched onto it!
The wedding ceremony was held at St. Teresa’s Church in Bandra, which – for those of you who want a white wedding in Mumbai – has some awesome backdrops for wedding photos!

And all the fun, crazy photos they posed for with their bridesmaids and groomsmen!
The party continued at the crazy reception party where Gaelyn was the ultimate bridechilla! She kept the dress but changed her hairstyle and makeup. Bringing soft curls back to the limelight and how!
The wedding cake was gorgeous too!
The décor was done by Altair Décor, one of the best wedding decorators in all of Mumbai. They kept a Moroccan theme to the Reception party, which is different from the whites one typically sees at Christian weddings.
Altair strung up a thousand fairy lights over the dance floor, to give the Reception a unique look in the evening – and even better photos!
Gaelyn had also asked them to set up a head table where she placed personalised notes for the guests.
