Aloe Vera For Hair Growth 

Use of aloe vera boosts the growth of dormant follicles and thus helps in faster regrowth of hair. Since it is power packed with enzymes and which stimulate new growth, you can effectively use aloe vera gel for hair growth. 

Aloe Vera and Castor Oil 

This aloe vera hair mask boosts growth and gives you long and luscious hair.

How To Make It –

Combine one cup of aloe vera gel with two tablespoons of castor oil. 

Apply this on your hair from roots to tips. 

Let it sit overnight and wash it off the next morning. 

Repeat this on a weekly basis for desired results.

 

Aloe Vera, Olive Oil and Egg Hair Mask 

As egg yolk contains fat and proteins, it is superb for conditioning hair. Adding olive oil and aloe vera gel to it makes a potent hair tonic which enriches your hair and scalp with all the essential nutrients you need for optimum hair growth. 

How To Make It –

Mix aloe vera, olive oil and egg yolk to make a smooth and consistent paste.

Cover your scalp with the mixture and wear a shower cap.

Leave on for 20-25 minutes and wash off under cool water.

 

Aloe Vera and Fenugreek

Fenugreek (methi) seeds contain hormone antecedents that promote hair growth and rebuild hair follicles that stop hair loss. Adding aloe vera to them further nourishes the hair and scalp for better hair growth. 

How To Make It –

Soak a cup of fenugreek seeds in water overnight. 

Grind to a paste and add 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel to it. 

Mix thoroughly and apply this paste to your hair and scalp. Leave it on for 1 hour.

Rinse your hair with water followed by a mild shampoo.

 

Aloe Vera For Dandruff

Aloe vera can be directly used on the scalp to attain relief from the symptoms of dandruff. This is because aloe vera gel has a moisturizing effect on dry skin and help reduce irritation of skin. It contains enzymes that help reduce inflammation and has antioxidant properties that prevent skin cell damage.  Apart from the remedies listed below, you can also use an aloe vera shampoo for dandruff. 

Aloe Vera And Lemon 

Lemon is a natural remedy for removal of dandruff. However, its acidic nature can irritate the scalp and result in inflammation and redness. But mixing aloe vera gel with lemon juice balances its acidic nature and makes a great dandruff remedy. 

How To Make It –

Mix ½ cup aloe vera gel with 2 tbsp lemon juice

Apply the mixture directly on the scalp

Leave it for 30-40 minutes

Wash with lukewarm water

Do this once a week

 

Aloe Vera With Olive Oil and Curd

One of the best ways to use aloe vera for dandruff is to combine it with curd and olive oil. This is because the moisturizing properties of these ingredients soothe an itchy scalp. They also control the production of excess sebum and fight fungal growth. Olive oil is a rich source of vitamins A and E which helps to strengthen the hair strands and stimulates the hair follicles. 

How To Make It –

Mix 2 tbsp Aloe vera gel, 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 cup curd 

Apply this mixture all over your scalp and hair, as a mask

Cover with a shower cap

Leave on for 30 minutes

Wash thoroughly with lukewarm water

 

Aloe Vera And Coconut Oil

Another easy way to use aloe vera juice for dandruff is to mix it with coconut oil. This is because their mix nourishes hair and eliminates the symptoms of flakiness and itching. Coconut oil has anti-microbial properties which fight the growth of yeast cells on your scalp. It is also a mild cleansing agent, which also coats your strands with a protective layer.

How To Make It –

Combine 2 tbsp aloe vera gel with 1 cup coconut oil

Massage this oil well on your scalp

Leave it for a couple of hours

Wash it with lukewarm water

Use twice a week for best results
